Kayla Marie is from a small town in Iowa. The outdoors have always been a part of her life. Growing up right next to the Iowa River, she fell in love with being on the water at a very young age. Hunting is a family tradition, she grew up deer and turkeys hunting with her dad. Kayla picked up bow four years and hasn’t put it down since. Archery is now a year-round activity. If she, not bow hunting, then she is preparing fora 3D or indoor shoot. She says “I have never had anything push me more than archery. I am constantly setting goals and those goals push me to be a better archer. It’s not about being the best, it’s about being better then you were yesterday.”Kayla loves that hunting had brought her closer to people in her community. From deer hunting in Iowa, to hunting plains game in South Africa. Being able to share her experiences about hunting and how it play a huge role in conservation in her state and across the world.
