In the new age world we live in, your girl is all about efficiency. Juggling family, careers, and living life takes up some time! This is why we have to be all about the strategy. In the name of working and hunting, smarter-not harder, here are some great hunting tips and tricks every outdoorsman needs!
Hunting Tips and Tricks
Go SLOW!
Ok, I will admit this seems counterintuitive to my whole efficiency soap box; however, hear me out. The circle of life. We take a moment in time of their life, and if we rush through it, we will not only miss out on the outdoors around us but also our chance at harvesting something.
Pro tip: Practice at home. Practice setting yourself up like you would in the woods at home, and sit with your weapon. Breathe. Maybe it's during your fav outdoorsy show. Maybe it's in your backyard and you watch the caterpillar weave its chrysalis or the spider weave its web. Whatever it is, practice. Do it without your phone because if your attention isn't there, you will miss things. The scrape. The turkey! P.S. Turkeys do not use cell phones (yet) so they will know something is out of the ordinary. Know that there is no way that if you do not practice beforehand that you can go out in the woods on a whim and be cool, calm and collected.

Pick landmarks.
Some people (me) need a little blue GPS line to assist them in going everywhere and anywhere. Although this is a personal area of opportunity, it's incredibly easy to get lost outside, and as history has it, there is not always great reception. Picking and/or placing distinct objects to assist you is a time and game changer. If it worked for Hansel and Gretel, it can work for you.
Scope the scene.
Ideally, you’ll have a lay of the land before you go, but regardless, once you get in position, figure out different lines of fire you may need and practice like an animal is there.
Be an organizational station.
It is critical to be organized in the outdoors. Take the time to make sure you have the essentials, from first aid kits to sunscreen and bug repellent to ammo. Know your bag and, once again, practice. Be able to blindly find everything and anything that you need.
Get creative.
One of many reasons why hunters are some of the best people is that they are super resourceful. A top-tier hunting tool is a pair of shears. They are so versatile, from cutting down shrubs to utilizing them on animals. From tearing off the tip of your glove for a better trigger finger to using a hunting bucket for storage and a seat, there are so many ways to get creative. Ask around to your best buds and share your best secrets.
